This works well for basic commands and advanced tricks. If you have just acquired your parrot, start with simple tricks, such as teaching them to sit on your finger on command.
Find a word for each trick and use it whenever you train them. Most of all, never force training on your parrot. If you find they are tired or uninterested, stop and try again at another time.
As your parrot learns more command and tricks, begin moving your clicker training sessions closer to their cage. As they get better at their new skill, they will feel comfortable performing in their cage.
